Congratulations to Ross Dunkley, who lifted the title, Warwick & Worcester David Perry Men's Individual Merit Champion for 2021.
The competition, which was held at the Drakes Drum saw a great day of bowling culminating in Ross beating Jason Galvin in a hard-fought final 21-18.
The two players route to the final were as follows:
First Round, Ross Dunkley beat Darren Andrews 21-11, whilst Jason Galvin beat Adam Kirby 21-15
Second Round, Ross played Tony Freeth, winning 21-7, whilst Jason beat Callum Mitchell 21-6
Quarter Finals and Ross despatches Greg Smith 21-19 in a tight game, and Jason beat Matthew Price 21-7
Semi-Finals saw Ross beat Elliot McGuinness 21-12 and Jason defeated Ben Harris 21-6
And as we've said before in a very tight final, Ross ran out the winner 21-18
Both Ross and Jason now go forward to the BCGBA National Merit Final, at Heaton Park, Prestwich, Manchester on Saturday, 14th August, with Elliot and Ben on a reserves list should places become available.
